Every family’s situation is different. Some parents reach out with a specific education or special education law concern; others simply know something at school doesn’t feel right and want guidance on next steps.
My approach is practical, collaborative, and strategic. Whether you are looking for a one-time consultation or ongoing representation, I aim to help families better understand their rights, options, and path forward.
Introductory Call
I offer a brief introductory call for families interested in learning more about my practice and whether I may be a good fit for their needs.
This call is an opportunity to share a high-level overview of what is going on and determine appropriate next steps. It does not include legal advice or document review, and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Initial Strategy Session
Ongoing Representation
Many families come to me early in the process, before deciding whether they need ongoing legal representation.
For that reason, I offer Initial Strategy Sessions designed to help families:
understand their child’s educational rights and options;
make sense of IEPs, evaluations, and school district communications; and
identify practical next steps and strategic considerations.
Depending on your needs, an Initial Strategy Session may involve a focused discussion, review of selected documents, or a more in-depth review of your child’s records.
Initial Strategy Sessions are billed on a flat-fee basis.
If ongoing legal assistance would be helpful after the Initial Strategy Session, we can discuss representation options tailored to your family’s needs.
Depending on the situation, ongoing representation may include records review, strategy and consultation, IEP preparation and attendance, communications with the school district, negotiations, or administrative proceedings such as due process hearings.
My goal is to provide the level of support that makes sense for your family — whether that means behind-the-scenes guidance, more active advocacy, or representation in a formal dispute.
